We have a great opportunity for a Senior Service Desk Specialist. The position is required to be onsite at the Pentagon/Washington, DC.

Description
    As a Senior Service Desk Specialist, you will be directly responsible for receiving, prioritizing, documenting, and actively resolving end-user submitted requests
  • Utilize common. vendor-provided, as well as custom internal diagnostic tools, to provide hands-on troubleshooting assistance at the desktop level
  • As part of the critical IT Enterprise Service Desk team, you will support a wide array of systems, applications, and services spanning desktop operating systems (OSs), desktop and web-based applications, and unified communications (instant messaging, Video Tele-Conferencing (VTC), Voice over IP (VOIP) phones, etc.)
Qualifications

Experience Requirements:

  • A minimum of four years of experience providing technical assistance in an enterprise IT Service Desk or Help Desk position.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Windows desktop platforms.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting IT enterprise collaboration, communication, and productivity software suites such as Microsoft Office, SharePoint, and Skype for Business.
  • Ability to effectively interact with internal customers in person or over the phone to capture and understand the details of their IT service request, incident, or problem.

Desired Experience:

  • Microsoft Certified: Modem Desktop Administrator Associate or Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA): Windows 10 certified.
  • Formal training and/or certified in the following Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) modules: Service Operation, Operational Support and Analysis, and/or Continual Service Improvement.
  • Experience working with remote monitoring and management tools to troubleshoot, assess, and resolve issues across a globally dispersed IT enterprise.
  • Experience working with Commercial off the Shelf (COTS) IT Service Management (ITSM) software suites such as BMC Remedy, ServiceNow, or HP Service Manager, for performing Service Desk related duties and responsibilities.
  • Experience with enterprise monitoring and network performance monitoring solutions as Microsoft System Center, IBM Tivoli, SolarWinds, and/or Splunk.

Technical Requirements:

  • Candidates must meet the Cyber IT/Cybersecurity Workforce (CSWF) SECNAV M-5239.2 requirements for this position. For more information visit: Navy Cool Cyber IT/CSWF Workforce Model.

Education: Bachelor's degree from accredited University. If no degree is held, qualified candidates must possess one of the following certifications.

Certifications:

  • CompTIA Security+ CE
  • GIAC Security Essentials Certification (GSEC)
  • Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP)

*Other certifications may qualify as listed in the Navy Cool Cyber IT/CSWF Workforce Model.

Security Clearance
  • This position will require an active DoD TS/SCI clearance; the ability to obtain and maintain a Counterintelligence (CI) Polygraph is required.
