Position Overview

kglobal is a full-service agency that helps clients communicate better. As a result, our commercial and federal clients build awareness, increase market share, influence policy, and protect their brands.

This position will support a federal civilian customer in the Washington, DC Metro Area. This role is dependent upon award of contract and funding.

The successful candidate is creative, fast on their feet, and self-driven. Candidates must also have an active SECRET security clearance and previous experience working in the federal space.

Description

What You'll Do:

Provide advanced communication support such as technical writing, marketing, graphic designing, editing, proofreading, notification management, correspondence management, and records management in a time-sensitive, Information Technology (IT) driven environment

Research and coordinate content from personnel and data sources to create content tailored to specific target audiences

Process photographs and perform basic photography functions

Provide version control and tracking through the editing and approval process

Perform Customer Service Survey Calls to survey troubleshooting open (unresolved) tickets and provide monthly metrics or briefings when necessary

Schedule, coordinate and facilitate meetings with various stakeholders providing agendas and meeting notes

Provide proofreading and editing support using the Associate Press Style Guide

Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) documentation, diagrams, work process charts, flow charts, briefings and training materials defining technical requirements, user-friendly instructions

Coordinate events and serve as on-site POC

Track relevant correspondence and provide analysis to improve communications

Assist with visitor access activities

Qualifications

Who You Are:

Advanced technical writing skills required to design, develop, and write accurate, highly technical, user-friendly, IT communication deliverables

Advanced technical proficiency in most current and best industry-standard, graphic design, and visual art software, including but not limited to, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, Drupel, Visio, Edraw Max, Flickr, Google, Office-365, JIRA and Confluence

Knowledgeable and trained on the IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) framework of Best Practices for IT Service Management providing recommendations for continuous improvement

Knowledgeable in the use of Section 508 Compliance Guidelines, DHS Communications Media Policy, the Associate Press Style Guide and Federal Government Standards for branding, styling, and layout

Proficient in creating SharePoint content, JIRA content, Confluence content, website content, social media content

Advanced technical coding, HTML, and rich-text skills

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Project, Microsoft Access and Microsoft Excel), Adobe InDesign and other graphic design software

Able to maintain electronic and physical communication files utilizing Microsoft SharePoint, SharePoint Online, Microsoft OneDrive, Microsoft Office 365 and Shared Drives ensuring compliance with records management policies

Experience:

12 years total experience, including 6 years of communications specialty experience and 2 Years of IT communications specialty experience

BS/BA Degree

Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification or any higher education degrees from an accredited university, including a Juris Doctorate (J.D.), Masters of Business Administration (MBA), or PhD

Security Clearance

This position will require U.S. citizenship and an active DoD Secret clearance.
