The Respiratory Therapist examines patients with breathing-related conditions and conducts diagnostic testing. Consults with physicians to develop and implement a treatment plan for the patient. Performs physiotherapy and other treatments and teaches patients to use medications.
Delivers and assesses response to ordered therapy per plan of care. Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate.
PRN, as needed (variable shifts). Current TN CRT or RRT licensure. BLS required upon hire or must be obtained within 90 days of employment, ACLS/PALS/NRP required within 12 months of employment. Six months to one year in Respiratory required.
