POSITION SUMMARY

The Assistant Vice President, Human Resources (Health Services) will lead all enterprise wide aspects of human resources for Health Services line of business. Serves as a key driver of strategic business priorities which include Quality, People, Service, Growth, and Financial with an emphasis on People. Attracts, engages, develops, and retains high performing talent and to achieve our mission. Fosters an environment of effective relationships and performance excellence.

Guides and maintains strategic HR business partner relationships at all levels within the organization and with partnership from HR COEs, has direct leadership of Human Resources including Employee Engagement, Leadership Development, Employee Relations, and Talent Management. Has direct input and focus on the implementation and the deployment of strategic people initiatives, which includes process standardization in this service line.


Responsibilities

  • Knows, understands, incorporates, and demonstrates the mission, vision, and values of Ardent HealthCare in leadership behaviors, practices, and decisions.
  • Partners with other executives and senior managers in advancing performance excellence, transforming operations, and other operational initiatives to ensure programs, services, and processes are in alignment with mission, vision, values, and strategic plan.
  • Provides a vision for Health Services human resources to support strategic initiatives, promote innovation, and ensure collaboration and integration across all operating clinics, hospitals, and other supporting entities.
  • Champions change leadership and performance excellence. Promotes, advances, and supports a culture of greatness around quality, engagement, and growth. Identifies and fosters appropriate change in culture, specifically through the enhancement of human resource policies, programs and reward systems to support continuous quality improvement and continually evolving strategic priorities and directions.
  • Anticipates and understands the competitive landscape, market forces, industry trends, and developments that impact and drive meaningful engagement of employees, providers, and clinical team members.
  • Ensures the organization achieves cost efficiencies while simultaneously excelling in product service levels, which reflect organization values and priorities.
  • Establishes benchmarks for HR services and functions while simultaneously supporting the development of innovative approaches where these services and functions can positively impact employee engagement, care delivery, and financial performance.
  • Works closely with HR teams to ensure policies and strategies create healthy employee and labor relations and employee engagement across clinics, while inspiring trust, teamwork, integrity, and commitment to the mission, values, and goals of the system.
  • Provides leadership, coaching, and mentorship to the HR team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and innovation.
  • Maintains a working knowledge of applicable Federal, State and local laws and regulations, the Ardent HealthCare Compliance Program and Code of Conduct, and other policies and procedures in order to ensure adherence in a manner that reflects honest, ethical, and professional behavior.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management or related field is required. A Master's degree in Human Resource Management or related field is preferred.
  • At least 10 years of experience with increasing levels of HR management is required.
  • At least three years of HR experience as the lead HR executive supporting a Health Services model or provider clinics is required.
  • Preferred experience profile includes multiple years as a lead HR executive with Health Services line accountability in a healthcare services related organization.
  • Experience in a highly-matrixed organization.
  • Proven experience delivering on strategic HR Initiatives in wide scale change initiatives.
