Job Description:

As a Consultant within Crowe's Performance Improvement practice, you'll help lead our clients through the analysis, and implementation of operational excellence and performance improvement initiatives within portfolio companies, including EBITDA and enterprise value capture through synergies and performance improvement.

Essential skills & responsibilities:

Great candidates for this unique position will have the desire and ability to:

  • Engage with private equity firms and corporate leaders to analyze and execute on value creation strategies and operational improvement initiatives
  • Work in a client facing role, engage with client teams to uncover synergy and functional area solutions; execute on deal strategy & performance improvement
  • Utilize a holistic approach to identify business improvement opportunities, develop solutions, manage initiatives, and identify the resources and various disciplines needed to execute the process
  • Communicate professionally, including creation of executive-level deliverables to support client decision makers
  • Deliver results in a highly visible role on-site at our clients, across the US and possibly internationally
  • Leverage the flexibility of Lean, Six Sigma, and Performance Improvement tools to enhance productivity
  • Be highly adaptable, assertive, and open to new challenges in a fast-paced environment. This person will have significant independence to define and deliver the work required to make our clients successful. Advanced skills in analysis and written and verbal communication are critical, as this role will require significant executive-level interaction.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's level degree required in operations, engineering, or supply chain. Master's degree advantageous.

  • 3-6 years of total relevant experience in operations management, including areas such as: manufacturing (including lean / continuous improvement), operations strategy, footprint optimization (manufacturing/distribution networks), supply chain, SIOP (sales, inventory, operations planning),
  • Experience with leading cross-functional collaboration with project teams and stakeholders, proven ability to build consensus across teams and stakeholders.
  • Ability to complete detailed assessments of manufacturing and distribution operations (footprint/network) and implementing improvements, specifically for productivity increase and operating costs reduction
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of executives, managers, & subject matter experts
  • Excellent analytical, critical thinking and troubleshooting skills with the ability to solve problems
  • Advanced analytical skills with high proficiency in MS Excel is required (MS PowerBI experience is highly advantageous)
  • Ability to build, manage and foster a team-oriented environment
  • Ability to interact with the internal management team and external client contacts using strong leadership and communication skills
  • 80%+ travel required
