Job Description
The Asst. SBA Administration Officer acts as back-up to SBA Administration Manager with particular emphasis on post-closing reviews, 327 actions, routine servicing actions and elevated servicing and liquidation activities.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Must have a thorough working knowledge of the current SBA SOP (50 10) Origination, and SBA SOP (5057) Servicing and Liquidation.
  • Manage the SBA submission process using SBAOne or E-Tran including review of Lender's Application, draft Loan Authorization, and subsequent approved authorization. Have authority to submit loans, modify loans, and take other actions necessary to secure/preserve the guarantee.
  • Manage the 327 process which requires SBA approval of all loan modifications.
  • Manage the post-closing review process for all SBA loans within 90 days of closing to insure proper documentation, both from a submission standpoint and from a closing perspective. Follow-up on any items that might jeopardize our guarantee.
  • Respond to screen out letters, by coordinating with underwriting, BDO's and RM's.
  • Manage the Administration portion of loan closings including review of closing statements and make decisions on closing exceptions.
  • Review and approve complete proof of equity injection prior to loan closing.
  • Manage the post-closing review of loans that fund up over time to ensure that all advance documentation is in file. Add funding spreadsheet to file.
  • Assist BDO's, RM's and Loan Processors in all phases of the loan as required.
  • Provide superior customer service to clients (internal and external) by resolving issues and providing accurate and timely information.
  • For loans that require intensive servicing or liquidation, prepare Guaranty Purchase Packages, Litigation packages, Liquidation Packages, SBA Reports and any other functions required to secure payment of the guaranty. Coordinate with SAD and attorneys to ensure that all steps are complete in order to preserve the guarantee.
  • Act as mentor and support training of all SBA personnel, both current and newly hired.
  • Team Lead for all Loan Processors and provides feedback to the SBA Administration Manager on performance, development, etc.
  • Keep abreast of regulatory changes that affect SBA loan products and reporting requirements. Revise procedures and implement training and changes as required.
  • Maintain knowledge of all origination functions. Assist where needed.

Required Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of SBA Loan documentation.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint software.
  • Profienent with SBA Packaging software.
Required Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in business or finance.
  • Minimum of 5 years of SBA experience including packaging, closing, servicing and intensive servicing.
Preferred Experience:
  • SOP knowledge

Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.
