What this job involves - The Service Technician will walk campus as apart of the waste management team, including removal of surplus from the campus and daily clean-up of the campus. Assist in the Gentry Center setting up and tearing down events, along with movable properties. Also, operating a JLL vehicle to drive between campuses.
What is your day to day? Participate in the set-up, disassembly, and conversion of all facilities events i.e. basketball same day operations, concerts, in-door track, academic education classes and other related equipment Perform cleaning and maintenance on equipment; keep work area clean, equipment organized and functional Perform work orders facility wide and contact security office in case of emergency Assist with supervising the work of temporary and student employees Performs other duties as assigned
Desired experience and technical skills - Required Experience in using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and communicate effectively, both orally and in writing Valid Driver's License High school diploma or equivalent Must have the ability to oversee the conduct of multiple events and activities Ability to work with a large variety of the public Preferred Familiarity using a CMMS or work order system Experience working on large campuses or multi-buildings
Work Environment/Shift 1st shift - Monday to Friday, but must be flexible to work overtime or weekends as on-campus events demand Lift a minimum of 50 pounds assisted or unassisted, physically able to move equipment and oversee activities and events Perform general maintenance Stoop, stand, work in close quarters, and work from a ladder JLL Is an Equal Opportunity Employer JLL is committed to developing and maintaining a diverse workforce.
